I'm new to lap steel guitar and I'd like to get something that sounds nice and plays well as a first instrument. I play bass and guitar, so I'm not new to guitar, but definitely new to lap steel. I would like to buy or trade for a Fender such as a dual professional or similar. If you are interested in a trade, I have a USA G&L L2000 bass I would also consider in trading.
This is the USA G&L L2000 and it is about as good as it gets- 1.5" neck, 8.3 lbs., 2017, swamp ash body, factory installed Mod switch, cool color, etc. The L2000 model always has a lot of tone options- series/parallel, pickup switching, active/passive/active with treble boost. The K-mod goes one step further and taps the outer coils of the pickups so you can get a great p-bass sound and a surprisingly great jazz bass tone. This really is a special bass and in excellent ++ condition. It comes with the G&L docs and a great hard case. MSRP about $4,000 with these options.

Great guitar to start with. If you stick with it (frankly, many don't), upgrade!
