How do you measure the neck scale? From top/middle of nut to top/middle of the changer?
it seems to me that this BMI is 24 1/64. It is shorter than the Zum and Emmons by maybe 6mm.
I don`t have a inch scale here but uses a calculator in the net.
Let me know if anybody knows.
Thanks,
Dag |

The BMI changer has quite a large radius so determining the precise tangent point is not easy. I confirm 24 1/8". |

Thank you so much
That sounds right. I`ve contacted BMI trough their website email and hope to get an answer.
If not, does someone make fretboards that I can use?
Thanks, Dag |

Yes, Forum member Jim Palenscar, Steel Guitars Of North County, makes great looking fretboards. I’ve seen one of his fretboards on a BMI somewhere on the Forum. The BMI emblems/markers were a perfect match.

BMI'S FRETBOARD sells for $42 with another $10 for shipping......if you're in another country probably more. You can also contact Dan Burnham from the info on BMI's site. |
