It doesn't seem to be very deep, but enough to create a bit of annoying drag occasionally. Luckily I have a backup. Do I have options for this one, or is it toast?

Stainless bars can be buffed out, plated bars not so much.

Wow. They had to be trying pretty hard to damage a BJS. Way to go.

Jeff, If you send your bar back to the builder he will replace it. They had a lifetime warranty on them at one time. About 10 years ago I had one with some wear scratches on it. I sent it back to him and he replaced it no charge.

John, once you have buffed the bar, let me know how it came out. Post a picture too please. I have an old Show Bud bar that needs a scratch buffed.

Another option if it can’t be replaced or buffed is to send it to Michael Hillman at Hillman Bars and he can have it powder coated. I have a Black Rajah that Charlie Norris owned and gave me years ago that was pretty scratched up. Mr Hillman made it look like brand new.
