It doesn't seem to be very deep, but enough to create a bit of annoying drag occasionally. Luckily I have a backup. Do I have options for this one, or is it toast?

Stainless bars can be buffed out, plated bars not so much. |

Wow. They had to be trying pretty hard to damage a BJS. Way to go. |

Jeff, If you send your bar back to the builder he will replace it. They had a lifetime warranty on them at one time. About 10 years ago I had one with some wear scratches on it. I sent it back to him and he replaced it no charge. |

John, once you have buffed the bar, let me know how it came out. Post a picture too please. I have an old Show Bud bar that needs a scratch buffed. |

Another option if it can’t be replaced or buffed is to send it to Michael Hillman at Hillman Bars and he can have it powder coated. I have a Black Rajah that Charlie Norris owned and gave me years ago that was pretty scratched up. Mr Hillman made it look like brand new. _________________ Pre RP Mullen D10 8/7, Zum 3/4, Carter S-10 3/4, previous Cougar SD-10 3/4 & GFI S-10 3/4, Fender Steel King, 2 Peavey Session 500's, Peavey Nashville 400, Boss DD-3, Profex-II, Hilton Digital Sustain, '88 Les Paul Custom,Epiphone MBIBG J-45, Fender Strat & Tele's, Takamine acoustics, Marshall amps, Boss effects, Ibanez Tube Screamer, and it all started with an old cranky worn out Kay acoustic you could slide a Mack truck between the strings and fretboard on!! |
