Thinking about a Boss Kantana 100 watt head.. I see their are different models.. I have a cabinet with a 1501-4 DT

it's complicated. There's been lots of posts, some people love them straight out of box, a few people did modifications (upgrade speaker), other people spent alot of time experimenting in Tone Studio Editor. I like mine pretty well with a few preamps/boost/limiters/compressors running ahead of it:

You would probably want the Katana MKII head.

The original Katana 100 Head has 5 voices, the MKII version doubles that by taking the original 5 and tweaking each of them to come up with 10.

They also improved the effects and do something to the back for improving connectivity to PAs and such.

From everyone who has written about it inother forums, Boss hit a home run with the MKII.

So.. Is it a problem to use the cabinet i have with the Peavey 1501-4-DT
What should I notice or is it a total no-no?

Yes, problem: I think it needs at least 8 ohm load, check the specs
