well it took a while, but here's this year's model. I've had a little unscheduled time lately to finish it up.
S12 4+5 extended D9
I've been practicing on it with headphones. Sure wish I had some gigs. When is that going to happen?

That tread material for the end plate is cheeky!

I like the absence of rollers. I built a more conventional instrument (with the changer at the bridge) but the tuner was keyless without rollers. I don't know why all the other makers get rid of the machine tuners but still have spare string length requiring rollers. Why not get rid of both?

The tuners are #10-32 grub screws which give a 5:1 leverage which feels just right. It's basically a miniature pull-release changer without the pulls!

Tell you what, Glenn - I do like your idea of putting everything at the changer end, and then changing ends!
Must make it easier to vary your right hand position without impediment.

I like the looks of this one much better,,the straight aprons vs the bulging look. I'd love to see underneath,,,I guess it is the "no crossbars" design???

Sonny, yes it's the same mechanical system that I've been using for a while--

Ian, lovely tuners. I like the clean design.

Hello Glenn, what is the price of one of these steel guitars? Are you taking orders? Steve Black.

Steven, years ago I attempted to build and sell pedal steel guitars, but there wasn't much interest in what I was doing and I wasn't all that persistent about it. I've continued to build them for myself (because I enjoy it) and sell off older steels before my basement gets too cluttered.
So, to answer your question, everything's for sale. I do have a couple single12s that I could sell, and a single10. Starting around $2500.
I sell a lot more volume pedals than pedal steels.
