I'm going through a divorce. As much as I hate to, I need to sell my purple Show Pro. I'll sell for $2500 plus shipping.

Hi Wayne,
Very sorry to hear about your divorce, but I wish you best with the sale of your guitar.
It has to be one of the most beautiful steels I’ve ever seen.
If I had the funds to spare, I’d be all over this.

Thank you for all the pms and well wishes.

I have you all in line as of time of PM.

Two persons have said they would take the steel. I must go in order of the contact so as to be fair and in keeping with integrity.

I will keep the ad open in case the sale falls through.

That may well be true. It's ended up painful because 32 yrs are gone...

In order of who said they would take it first is Jim Devoe.

I received a message from David Anderson indicating that he had sent an email right after Jim Devoe, but I don't see it. That's not to say it wasn't sent, I just don't have it.

I'm trying to be totally fair in my dealings with y'all.

Respectfully,

Wayne Baker

Wayne, if it makes you feel better, I am, and have 61 years. I think it's the water.

It does appear that I messed up, I'm that Cliff was second and gets the purple Show Pro.

I'd like to publicly apologize to Jim Devoe for any inconvenience this has caused. It's my fault Jim. And I'm sorry.

I certainly am sorry to hear about your current marital situation, and I have no dog in this fight and as such probably shouldn’t play armchair quarterback, but after going through such process to keep everyone informed of their place in line as well as at least three posts that suggest Jim was first in line, how in the hell did the guitar go to the 2nd on the list....???? No disrespect intended so please don’t imply any, more of a rhetorical thought.

Yes, I screwed this up royally. It was cliff, then Mike then Jim. As stated prior. My apologies. Clearly I'm an idiot...

Hi Wayne- I applaud your transparency efforts - just a reminder you can sell to whomever you want for whatever reason - be easy on yourself burning this difficult time.

While I’m sure it’s unfortunate you have the need to sell period, at the end of the day this is simply the sale of a great guitar at a great price. You can sell it to anybody you want for any reason you want. You’re not obligated to make everyone aware of who’s in line and you can change your mind just because you want to. Having said that , you meant well and had the best of intentions but you’re between a rock and a hard place, forced to sell. If nobody knew who was where in line there wouldn’t be all this anxiety or disappointment over being 3rd or 5th. If you buy a lotto ticket, they don’t tell you your number was going to be next if buyer#1 doesn’t come in for the jackpot. Keeping these sales private through email or PM is best for everyone. Someone had to sell something and did and someone got a great deal on a guitar, that’s all there is to know ...Just an opinion.

Mike hit the nail right on the head Wayne. I always put in my head to take care of # 1 first or you are no good to anyone else. Right now you are #1. TAKE CARE !
