I listened to a lot of early Fleetwood Mac back in the day and always felt that Peter Green was one of the best in his time. I thought you might enjoy a personal favorite, Albatross, a Peter Green/ Fleetwood Mac tune, arranged on my Ricky frypan. The tune has a kind of a British surf beat to it. (ha!) Hope all of you are healthy and hunkerin' down.

Many Thanks for posting this Chuck.
Just about a month ago my neighbor heard me play'n Sleep Walk and Blue Train on my lap steel and told me he thought Albatross would be a great steel song to do. You beat me to it! This tune sounds like it was almost made for steel guitar.

Cheers,
Shaun

Nice job, Chuck! I like the delay on your steel. It really fattens up the sound.

Thanks, guys. I always liked that tune, and it's nice to interpret it on the lap steel. Shaun, I have a rhythm track that I could send you if you want to work on the tune. Doug, you're right about the delay. Whenever I work on surf or dreamy stuff, that's my go to effect. Nice gloves on your avatar, by the way.

Hello Chuck, I would love to get the rhythm track. My neighbor will be so stoked when he hears it on steel coming from my apartment. My email is shaunhm@gmail.com
By the way, I'm still loving that tab you posted many years ago in Steel Guitar World Magazine for "The Rose". That melody fits so well on pedal steel. Thanks for all the inspiration Chuck!

Thanks! Garry, good to hear from you. Yes, I'm using a C6th tuning with the high G, perfect for this arrangement. Shaun, I'll email you the rhythm track that I used. I found it on a web site, but the site is long gone. I really enjoyed being on the staff for Steel Guitar World. Thanks for remembering.

if i may, could you send me the backing track. it will take me a long time to get even close to what you did but, ironically, i was thinking of trying this song about a month ago. that is until i heard the original and heard what was really involved.
