I got this Sho-Bud pedal. It doesn't quite look like most Sho-Bud pedals that I've seen. I have a hunch this one is older. It's numbered 7. Can any of you Sho-Bud people tell me something about this pedal? I'm curious...

The only thing I see is the rubber lines on your pedal are horizontal whereas most Sho Bud pedals I’ve seen, the lines run vertical..

The script is different too. My Sho Bud pedals have the tail of the "d" swing back to underline the entire script just like on the logo decals on the guitars. I'd bet it's older too.

I know nothing at all about dates or production history but yes, it is different from this.

I suspect that is an older pedal. The casting seems a lot more irregular and crude, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's thicker and heavier, too.

Thanks for your thoughts and comments.
First thing I noticed was that the shape of the pedal is different, and the logo isn't that elaborate like the others I've seen which makes me think it's an earlier version. Could it be from the 50's?
It's a great pedal, and yes it's quite heavy. Stays put on the floor!

Kind of looks like Buddy's writing on the first one. The newer ones have Billy Robinson's logo design.
