A great performance Paolo, and you are fortunate to have such an accompanist. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

That was swell! I felt transported back in time. Is this the usual dobro G tuning, cranked up to A? |

Thank you guys, your comments are very appreciated
Walter, you can play the tab with a Dobro G tuning, of course you have to play the chords one tone lower. |

Great stuff Paolo!
My tricone is in C6 but I recently decided to dabble in dobro, and got a cheap Regal reso in open G, I may try it out there transposed.
Question about the rhythm guitar...love that sound! What kind of strings is she using? _________________ Waikīkī, at night when the shadows are falling

Excellent slide playing there but the rhythm guitar playing was killer good. Pinch my arm, good looking , sings and plays rhythm guitar that groove and swings.
Such rhythm guitar playing is a rare find. Youre a lucky one for sure. Both lucky actually.
sincerely

Lou received this Epiphone Byron just a few weeks ago and the precedent owner has put Savarez Argentine strings on it, the 011 - 046 set. Lou just changed the low E for an .50 as the original string was buzing. The guitar needs a set up but she will see that when we can go outside again.
Thank you guys for your kind words, Lou and I are glad you like the video |

C'est magnifique! (I hope that is correct.)
The combination of this music you do together is such a rare thing and I'm so glad you recorded it and shared. Such a welcome gift to lift our spirits. |

While I have to admit this style of music isn't my fave. WOW the musicianship displayed here by both of you is off the charts wonderful. What I wouldn't give to be able to play either instrument that well!
Bravo!

That's correct Scott !
Thank you guys for your kind words ! Lou loves these old songs and it's a pleasure to play them with her.
And being focused on the electric steel for several months now, I almost forget how good it was to play this old National. |
