while running through my dad's shop, i ran across this key head. it looks pretty neat but it does require a lot of machining.
is any one out in forum land familiar with them. i believe they were made by a man in wyoming, not sure.
i plan on going through them and reuse them on a non pedal steel.
i know i have seen them come through the shop before but that was early 2000 or maybe later.

Those are keyheads that Del Mullen made late 80s, early 90s when he was having trouble getting his mfg. supply. I had a early 90s Mullen with those....the guitar in my avatar. Pretty slick work by Del.

Roy, I have those tuners on my Pre-RP Mullen SD-12. They still work well and John with Mullen said he still had the parts to rebuild them. The eyes on some have been used so much you have to double loop them when replacing. I think these are some of the best guitars that Del ever made!

these seem to be in very good shape, just needs some polish work so they will have to come apart or at least partly, will have to see.
going to make a non pedal console type.

probably will be like this one i made for my father.
purple heart deck
red oak neck with pearloid inlay
grover machines
hot george wallace pickup
aluminum frame and legs
bridge made from left over changer extrusion
