On my string two I can get it to lower the full step but the knee lever alimony hits the leg doing so. Any ideas how to shorten that travel. It’s RKR by the way.

Try raising the nylon barren to the next position on the bell crank. If you get it to tune with the full lower and there is some play left on the rod when not in use, you can adjust the stop on the knee lever so it doesn’t go as far as it did. You may have to adjust this several times but that should get you in the ball park.

The word alimony got my attention! On the RKR on a Sierra you can move it inward a bit so it won't hit the leg.

Sierras come with strings attached.

Great! I see you can move that knee lever in. I’m just not sure how easy that is. I love this guitar.

I did away with my stock Sierra RKR & added Gears

The gears can be made to work differently, with different ratios.. But are difficult to find on the shelf,.

If you will notice, I could actually go to the far gear, which would require a longer threaded rod & adjusted the RKR lever away from the Leg. I.E., I would have to move the pulls to the nearer shaft, so that may never get done.
