Telonics 12"
or Eminence TT 12"
I heard that the Telonics is really lightweight.
That is a real plus for me. |

Definitely the Telonics.
I have a NV112 (unmodified) and I compared the Telonics and the Travis Toy speakers in it and the Telonics won. If you are only going to play "modern" E9th the Travis Toy is OK as tends to be brighter but the Telonics has a little less highs and a little more lows.
If the NV112 has the OPA2134 op amp chips installed then the stock speaker is best. I tried the op amps and a different speaker and both are too much - one or the other.

| Most likely in the minority, but never could quite justify installing a $200.00+, 300 watt speaker into an 80 watt amp. Recently replaced the Telonics unit that was in my Nashville 112 with a WGS G12/CS (Warehouse Guitar Speakers) and could not be more pleased with the result. True it is rated at only 75 watts power handling but as it is an 8-Ohm unit, the difference balances out nicely with no noticeable volume loss. Tone (to my ears) is at the very least equal to the Telonics that it replaced with only a slight increase in weight (10# vs. 7.5#) and at a cost of $109.95 new, the change out was a no brainer for me. |

| They're both very light weight- that's a nice aspect. In Peavey land, I tried a bunch and settled on a TT, but ultimately I picked up an old LTD amp which sounds great stock- about $100 more than a new speaker. Ask yourself what you feel you're missing with your current speaker? Your NV112 eq section is pretty powerful. |

| My 112 had a 1203-4 Black Widow in it, and sounded great, but heavy as all get out. I lucked up on a Telonics 12”, and the tone and weight are great. |

I pulled the stock PV speaker and replaced it with a Fender Gold Label Eminence 12, an 8 ohmer, probably 2 or 3 years ago.
Two reasons,
1) I needed an ext cab on the other side of the room and wanted to keep the output load at 4 ohms. so, 2 x 8 ohm speakers ='s 4 ohms. I added an ext speaker jack at the rear of the cab, wired to the speaker.
2) the stock PV 12 is very mid strong, the Fender Emmi has a very gentle mid range. The amp now leans BRIGHT with a very gentle mid range curve.
Running the amp with just the 8 ohm load ( vs the stock 4 ohm load ) presents no noticeable difference in level whatsoever.
The amp is still at +/- 40 pounds.
