I've recently had an issue on the C6th neck of my push-pull where the 5th string (G to F#) lower on pedal 5 returns a few cents flat. I can get the string to return fully to pitch if I push on the pedal crank or bell crank (see video link below).

Interestingly, the lower works fine if I bypass the pedal entirely and engage the lowering rod with my finger. This makes me think that it's a problem with the bell/pedal cranks and not the return springs, or am I overlooking something? I've tried lubricating all the moving parts and don't see anything physically impeding their movement.

Thanks in advance to any push-pull experts that might have some advice.

I would bet it is the positive return spring. Adjust the set collar to make it tighter. If not that then it is the compression spring on the drop rod. Move the set collar a bit to ease the tension, then increase the travel on the crossbar.

In your video, it looks like the lower rod is not in straight line with the changer finger that it's connected to. Try moving the bellcrank to be more in line with the changer finger.

Lubricate the pedal, and also the pin that connects the pedal to the pedal rod, also lubricate the ends of the cross-shaft, to make sure it is turning freely.

I'm with Richard. It appears to me that the pedal crank return spring is having difficulty returning the crank to the metal strip on top of the stop bar. I'd probably remove the cross bar support/bearing block and clean and lubricate both ends and reassemble. Also, you might want to add just a bit more slack to the drop and pull rods than what's currently there. If you do add more slack, you'll also need to reset the stop screw on the pedal crank accordingly.
