Hi... I'm interested in purchasing any model of these and would appreciate any feedback from the many more experienced than myself re these guitars... I'm really wanting a c6 10 string lap steel, and one of the later model Supro MOTS versions of the EHarp has recently become available f/s locally (not cheap - $750USD), and I figured any tuning'd work on the instrument... 'm i right???... what's a typical price range for these guitars these days???... seems a nice new build would be about the same $$ from my current choices - so - vintage or new???... thoughts???... much appreciated...

I paid less than that for an early Epiphone alkire in good condition, similar to the left one in Beaumier's pic:

I think the desirable ones have 2 pickups and are this style , maybe Bill McCloskey can chime in https://reverb.com/item/89711-alkire-10-string-eharp-steel-guitar-1960-natural

Be happy to help. The

The model you are talking about I have bought for less than $500. $750 would be at the high end for this model. You can absolutely put any tuning on it. I have Morrells e13 on mine at the moment. I have the 4th model, which was a console model and it is still my favorite steel. Let me know if you have any questions

Here is my current Eharp. paid about $750 for it but it was mint condition. The usual price for the non consol models is between $350-500.

That is what I tell people Jim,
but no. Owned by a woman named Cindy who had it since she was a little girl and it sat under the bed for 50 years. It is absolutely in mint condition

Out of curiosity, do the Epi and the Valco models have similar scale lengths and string spacing? Would one of the black Gibson Century-10s function as a reasonable facsimile? The Gibson has a 22-1/2" scale and very narrow string spacing.
