Good Morning to you all,
Absolutely crazy times over here - we have massive restrictions on everyday life, including stop of ALL social contacts, cancellation of all events (music, sports, even church services) and closure of all stores (except food stores, pharmacies etc.). Everybody is strongly encouraged to stay simply home.
That said, I will suspend the Clip of the Week for the next few weeks (hopefully!). There is one online now but as of next week, I will take a break. Hope you all will be safe and stay that way!

Pennsylvania's King of Country Music Howard Vokes, Jeff Newman on steel. Howard primarily was local, but recorded some in Nashville. He was also a major promoter of traditional country music in the region. Born in Clearfield down the road from me, but mostly was based in New Kensington PA near Pittsburgh. I think I heard he died a few years ago. Jim Wilson probably knows more.
Walter, you stay safe too! Things pretty much the same here - university telling students not to come back from spring break and do classes online, other schools closed, gigs canceled. We're pretty much holed up here too. I guess a good time to write some songs. |
