I'm trying to compile a list of must-know C6 tunes, pedal and non-pedal for the bandstand. Help me out here, pickers! I'll start.

| I try to think of songs that might not have been done on steel on the original recording, songs that seem to have that C6th harmony. This morning I was playing around with BEFORE THE NEXT TEARDROP FALLS and CHERRY PINK AND APPLE BLOSSOM WHITE. |

How about some Jazz and big band stuff. Duke Ellington's ,Sophisticated Lady,Mood indigo,In my solitude, Satan Doll. I can list almost 1000 I have played and still do. Several already posted, all good songs for C6

Gone with the Wind, Tangerine,Small Hotel, Talk of the town, You go to my head...I am going to stop right there to save some of b0b space here. But although I can play them on C6, I use E6 instead, same setup.....al

Drew, just my opinion but I don't think there are any particular "must know" songs for C6th. It is no different than E9th, you just need to know your way around on C6th so you can play whatever you need to on it. We are not fully expanding our playing until we can play whatever song comes along on either neck if we are playing a double neck. It will sound different but should be recognizable.
