OK, I'll be the bad guy and be the first to point it out.
The TR-2 is a tremolo.
The TU-2 is a tuner.
I suspect the OP meant the tremolo. |

I've used a BOSS TR-2 Tremolo pedal both live and for recording with excellent results. But be forewarned that having the unit in your signal chain when it's turned off can possibly alter the tone of your instrument. I've had two different TR-2s, and both exhibited a barely perceptible loss of volume when engaged. No big whoop if you're playing through a volume pedal. |

I own a TR-2 & love it. Very flexible with the 3-knob configuration.
If the TR-2 is beyond budget, one can get a Joyo MoloTrem, a clone, if you are into those. I have one of those too. Tiny micro pedal, same 3 knob configuration. I've found that the same knob settings yield very close to the same results as the original. I've yet to find a cheap import clone that captures the TR-2 (or any other trem device) well. |

I realized that after I posted but hoped no one would notice. Leave it to a steel player to find the error ..LOL

Greg: I can hear you now, doing your best Pee Wee Herman impersonation......."I meant to do that".
Once a year or so, you can catch me paying attention. ;>)) |
