Alan: Don't forget to look in the pedal steel section here on the Forum. How to tune a Push Pull. If you don't follow the recommended procedure, you can do damage to your new steel guitar. You can not tune them like an all pull. Tommy..... |

Alan: I just read it myself. I say always tune it at the key head tuners with the pedals down. Tune the 3rd. and 6th. strings to A with the pedals down first, then tune the G#s at the changer (if needed) with your 7/64 allen wrench. Same with strings 5 and 10. Tune the C#s with the pedals down first at the Key head tuners, and then tune the B notes at the changer(if needed) I bet I'm right in saying that. I've been doing it that way for 50 years, and it will keep you from accidentally crushing those little compression springs. Thanks, Tommy..... Correct me if I'm wrong about any of this. |

Would have been even quicker if the seller returned the message I left on his cell phone immediately after this was posted! _________________ Mullen Discovery S10, Hilton VP, Kemper Profiler Head and Kabinet. |

Kind of puts a perspective on the market...at least on the low end..
Really like the blond lacquered finish, aluminum neck _________________ Old Emmons D-10's & Wrap Resound 65, Standel amps!

This may be the guitar featured on the "Hal Rugg 1979" CD Clem Schmitz sells on Ebay. I've talked to Clem about this guitar and he mentioned that it had a fairly unique C6 setup. Would love to see photos when you get it as well. Judging from Clem's CD, this guitar sounds fantastic. Then again, Hal Rugg's playing it... |
