Good morning everyone! Just wanted to let everyone know that I will have a new cd available at the show in Dallas next month.
This project has been 6 or 7 years in the making. And the reason for that is, I lost the session files. Luckily for me, the studio owner doesn't get rid of anything. While I was there back in the summer doing some overdubs for him in southern Illinois, he handed me a flash drive with all the session files on it.
I brought them back home and sent the files to Al Cope and he got to work cleaning up some of the tracks and working his magic on things.
I started working on my parts and Alan started putting guitar and sax on tracks in West Virginia. Then he called our old friend in Salem, Virginia Jerry Wood to come up and put fiddle on it. Well, I wound up redoing all my parts due to we weren't happy with the originals.
We also added a tune that we had started last year and a couple of other songs courtesy of Dennis Stroughmatt. Dennis is playing fiddle on 3 tunes on the new cd.
There is a mixture of E9 and C6 on this cd. And I hope y'all find it interesting. I've listed the songs below so you can see what's on it.
Also, I will be offering a special on things just like the holiday special I ran through December and early January. I will post more about that later.
Here are the tunes
April's Fool
Release Me
Borrowed Angel
Barmaid In A Honky Tonk Downstairs
Turn Out The Lights The Party's Over
Same Old Me
Secret Love
Lady Be Good
Candy Kisses
Hold It
I Never Had The One That I Wanted
I Take A Lot Of Pride In What I Am

This will be available at Dallas in March but, I will be taking mail orders the week of the show and will ship when I get back home.
Keep a lookout for the March Madness sale on the cd, tutorials and cd downloads announcement.
Thanks.

Guys and gals, I'm telling ya. If you like pedal steel guitar (obviously you do, you're in this group) you will absolutely love this project! I was able to hear a few tracks off of it and folks it's as good as it gets!

The fiddle and electric playing are top notch.... just as Mike's playing is!
Mike, you are on top of your game with this one!

I think I own about every project Mike has and this one is gonna be my favorite! If you are a fan of Mikes classic sound, along with some fantastic accompaniment from the other fellas who worked on this one with him, all mixed together and balanced as good as any recording you'll hear, you're gonna want to order a copy for each radio in your home and vehicles!

I know ill be getting mine!
