Is this a test?
D7...an odd bird for sure. Probably a homemade job? Those bridges look like paint scraper blades. The tuners and the fret boards look like they could have been taken off standard guitars. The console, which actually looks pretty well-crafted, shows no sign of ever having a label. Never seen anything like that pickup.

Definitely a homemade job. Tuners are a combination of mandolin and guitar gears, much like Rickenbacker 7-strings. Interesting that there are two separate necks but apparently one enormous pickup - muting must be a nightmare. Are those bronze strings?

That's a cool old instrument. Nice job on the wood finishing; looks professional. String spacing appears extremely narrow, especially for 7-strings. Lower position slants may prove difficult.

Do the electronics work? If so, lube the tuners, snug down the bridges, string it up, Deoxit the pots, plug it in, and play it.

Wow.
That is one very interesting guitar.
One more vote for being home built although it appears to be well done.
The only thing I don't understand is the
top appears to be arched a bit from the way the bridge('s) sit.
The pickup also seems to have an arch to it.
I like it. It would be fun to give it a go.

It probably is homemade. I got it from the house of an old man I grew up learning to play music. He had told me he built his first steel guitar, I guess I found it. Glad to preserve it. Thanks
