I have a player asking me for a 7 string set up with 15mm string spacing. Looking for recommendations for a good pickup that will work for that. Thanks, Bob

That Spread is far wider than any I've ever seen or known of -- 15mm = .59" wider than a 1/2inch. Not to worry , just had to say it.

.59 X 6 = 3.54 inches Add some on either side of the strings, brings you basically a 4" pickup width.

Alumitone sells 4" Tone Bars specifically for Steel Guitars.

These are known for their wide range and flat response, to many ears - very desirable, especially they are Basically Hum Free.

The Entire frame is the pickup, so no need for magnet specific placement.

Hope this helps You.

Any of the blade style 10-string pedal steel pickups will also work. George L, Lawrence 705, and others.

Jerry Sentell in Sacramento will make whatever you want, within reason. He has custom built 7-string pickups for me in both Stringmaster and P-90 configurations. https://www.sentellpickups.net/Steel.html

Oh yeah, George I screwed that one up! Embarrassing! I meant 10mm, not 15mm. Thanks for the replies guys.

Yes 10 mm = .393 which is a basic spread for a P90 - Humbucker type - of course you want 7 strings.

.393 X 6 = 2.358" + some on each side.

If I recall Alumitone makes 3" Tone Bars , which would take you where you want to go right away.

Kent Armstrong sells a long flat Pup For 7 String Guitar That Should cover your width. These are bang for the buck priced.

As David pointed out any of the Rail style PuPs are good - except now your overall width is something like an inch shorter than typical pedal steel pickups.

Jack is also correct , there are a number of good winders now of daze that can make up any thing.

There are maker spaces on the islands now and many sign shops with laser etchers,
any of those type places can make you bobbin flats with holes for magnets spaced as to your design.
Then you send them off to your favorite winder , who will provide you with magnet blanks before you go for all of this.
It can sound a little daunting, it is really not too big of a deal, for some one who builds so many steels.

For that matter; one of the winder machines pays for it's self in something like 10 pickups, - you teach folks to make steel guitars , why not make all of the components too.

Glad to Help You
