My Hilton volume pedal lets too much volume out at the “off” position. I want to decrease that volume level at the “off” position, but still allow “some” volume there.

Which way do I turn the “OFF POSITION” dial to do that? I don’t want to screw this up!

Thanks.

I can't remember. Mark the current position with tape and a pen so you can find it again*, then trial and error.
You can't break anything.

* second thoughts, if you don't like it how it is you wont care about finding it again. So that leaves T&E.

Do turn the adjustment pot GENTLY. I adjusted mine to have a bit of signal when "off". Very easy. It helps to have a steady signal playing through it (tone generator, CD whatever) then just hold it in the "off" position and turn the pot.

As noted be very careful as those pots are fragile and easy to break.

I thought newer Volume pedals do not have holes for those adjustments as users kept damaging the pots.
