Hey Herb the only thing I know is this is the Stringmaster Lee got right after he "SOLD" his Bigsby(which I still cus him for that..ha)...
I haven't actually seen this guitar in person or talked to him about it....so I don't know pal.
It does look like it may be put together...cause usually the volume and tone pot are on the bottom neck and switch and toggle on middle and nothing on the furthest neck.......but you can easily take the plates out and put them on which ever neck you want and if your re-wiring(which I'm sure this one was..with that button and all...ha) that is the thing to do.
The stair step does look normal and original....but you can put any necks together you want on these things...but diffinately a 56 or 57 stringmaster.

I'm sure that those English blokes can keep up with the best of 'em, but those have got to be empties from the other bands too, having rested many beers on that PA cab myself. (there's probably 20 more empties just behind the cabinet) I know that crummy stage all too well - and the Boston rockabilly bands' drinking habits! It doesn't matter how the band sounds, the crowd can't hear anything coming out of that lame PA system. Always sounds like someone put a blanket over the speakers - a THICK blanket.

Yep Chas, a quality band and good guys. I especially like Robert's singing and songwriting.
