Topic: Need help on ascending 3 note groups lick |

There is this 3 note group ascending lick that I hear in songs and in my head , but for the life of me cannot figure it out .
I was wondering if anyone had any tips or a quick short tab of it

| There are hundreds of three note runs descending and ascending. It would be very helpful to have a video of exactly which one your referring to. It would at least be to me. With that, I'm sure you might get some help. |

On " Uncle Tupelo - High Water " at about 2:38-2:42 there's the cool ascending lick I can't seem to figure out

I started it on the 5th fret and 9th string because that makes the jump to the 8th fret shorter. Just me... Also I believe the player is playing these notes even though technique may make it sound like he is not. Note: The rest of the break is also great, but I'm old and don't have all that much time. Hope this helps.

Key of "G" also...
Note: I didn't put in which finger to pick it with or any other instructions in that regard, on purpose. This is your instrument, your music and so, you need to find your own best way to do it. I'm 5'2" tall, my steel has been shortened 2" because all things do not fit everyone.
Note:#2.. If you log into the forum and do a search for "Beginners Notes", you will find a world of free info that leans more toward general playing and not necessarily songs. Some of it you are ready for now, some you can use in the future. Also enjoy!

Appreciate it !
You got my brain thinking , How does one shorten a pedal steel as well with lift it ? Would the rods need to be shorter ? Or extended for lifting it ? I've seen the latter but didn't think of how it would work , so much interesting stuff to learn with these pedal steels .
