Thanks for the quote. It’s a good one.

Years of preparation and experience go into those 15 seconds. Improvisation is meant to sound spontaneous; composition is meant to sound unique. Great composers and great improvisers accomplish both simultaneously.

In any creative endeavor true Artistry is in improvisation— but without craftsmanship it’s impossible to make great art.

For me, improvisation comes naturally, but over the years I’ve l learned that I need to work hard on my craft if I want to expect other people to respect my art.
