Whatever,,,this is a guitar that I started making for myself a year or so ago,,,dropped it on the key end and damaged it,,,hung it up and ignored it,,decide I wanted a 10 string. It was born as an experiment,,,kind of a modified "bowl back" acoustic that I thought would have enough resonance and volume to be good for practice. A friend indicated an interest so I got it down,,made repairs as best I could, strung it up and I must say,,it has exceeded my expectations for sound. May not be a sound for everyone,,but with all the interest in practice boards lately it is GREAT for that,,has kind of a mellow Hawaiian sound I think. I has what I would call a sound rail inside,,spruce top, mahagany sides, spalted maple back,,,and of course,,keyless!!

Thanks guys!!!! Had I have known it would sound like this,,and serve this purpose I would have built one long ago. Kind of like being used to playing a tele,,,but enjoying the pleasure of being able to take a flat top and sit on the porch (or out in my shop,,LOL) and pick,,,,very handy! I will definitely be building myself a 10 string,,,or maybe even a 12,,,LOL |
