I made a bridge for my RG-32 and got it up and running, but decided I wanted a stand. Here's what I came up with. I disconnected the legs from my folding keyboard bench (easily reconnected), got some perforated steel angle, a 3/8" dowel, some scrap wood and some speaker carpet. A little paint and glue and a few screws and I'm set. Cost about $8 as I already had the legs.

Brad, you really inspired me. I also had an extra piano bench, and I got some perforated steel angle, bolted a 6" x 24" piece of 3/8" plywood to it, painted, and covered the plywood with good quality tool drawer no-slip matting. Et, voila! Works great - my steel doesn't slip at all, height is adjustable, and the legs are untouched, so they can still be used for the piano bench. Thank-you so much for sharing your idea. -David

David, I am having trouble envisioning this...did you mean piano stand, not bench ? I would like to see a picture of your project...thanks !

Here are some pics, Larry. Yes, it is a piano bench, so it can only accommodate a "sitting height" for playing. In the last pic I show the undersides of my project and the piano bench. I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Aha, now I get it ! Thanks that makes a lot of sense to me...I was thinking of something to use standing up, but this is a good idea for use while sitting ! Thanks for taking the time to post the pictures.

David - Really like your design! Much simpler and easier to build than the way I did it. I went with the thick cross pieces to add a bit more height. If I work up the energy, though, I may rebuild your way. Great job!

Aw shucks, thanks, Brad. But mine doesn't have the cool dowel for holding picks or the cool bar holder. Advantages to each, I think.

Yes, my design is definitely the "deluxe" model, worth at least an additional .05 Laughing
