Hi lapsteelers,
A bit out of my musical garden this time . .
Long long ago I was struck by a sort of New Orleans blues, with some dark haunting theme.
It turned out to be a Duke Ellington recording of Mood Indigo,
and though I never went into jazzy things, this one remained.
Recently I found out I could play the triads in the first line in a nice way on my lap.
And when there's one line ... .. there's work to do!
My version in B flat, same key as the original, is here, so you can play along with the Duke:
