I've been doing various things to quiet the action. Success is pretty good so far, but what can you share about pull rods (the clip on kind)? When I apply the pull, some longer ones tend to flex sideways and contact the adjacent fingers.
With limited room for repositioning fingers further away from the rods, what tricks might work to either keep the rods from flexing or to cushion them when they hit the nearby fingers or rods?

Foam strips interwoven between the pull rods will help some.

James,
You could cut out about a 1/2" thick piece of foam rubber in the shape of a rectangle, slightly wider than your pull rod cluster, then slit it in 10 places, spaced like your pull rods. It would then look kind of like a comb, right? Then, just insert it somewhere midway in the length of your cluster of pull rods. This may help keep the rods from doing what you've described. If nothing else, they will at least be a little quieter!

I've used small diameter O-rings in the past. The inside diameter has to be small enough to fit on the pull rod snug and fat enough to add enough cushion.

Thanks, gents. Good ideas here.
Lynn, your idea at first seemed complicated but turned out very simple. A 3"x4" sponge cut in half and slotted did the trick nicely and even looks like a factory job.
