I didn't capture much more than half of the players, but hopefully my personal pictures will give you an insight into the wonderful 2020 Southwest Steel Guitar Association show.

Ray Jenkins, here are instructions that b0b has in his Forum Instruction category. I've followed them for years without any trouble. NOTE that there is a size limit for your images, that's why my 'image' is so small.

Sincere appreciation to all of you that have taken the time to look at my pics. Very appreciative of the nice comments!

John McClung... My camera is a Sony A99ii. I only used 1 lens, a relatively inexpensive Sigma 24-105mm f4, as I was hoping that it would allow me to take a fairly large array of pics...Thank you for asking!

I could tell it was a reasonably fast lens, nice bokeh throughout (for you steelers who are non-photographers, that's an arcane term similar to "cabinet drop" on PSG!). You shooting through the ELV or in Live View off the camera back display? Really good job, man! You captured personality, which a lot of shooters just don't get.

Mostly ELV...I don't have enough fingers lol...Thank you for the comment regarding personality, I mostly strive to make it look as though playing a steel guitar is a pleasurable experience...sometimes that takes a little patience lol!

Your photos are exceptional. I found them thoroughly entertaining and the subjects' personalities seem to shine through.

Thanks for sharing them.

Excellent set of pics. Made me really sorry I couldn't be there. Looks like a great time was had by all (especially Janice, who seems to have managed to kiss all the boys! Smile )
