Just returned from Mesa and the steel show...the highlight for me, and based on the crowd, for many others, was seeing Norm Hamlet...his playing was top notch and so smooth and beautiful...brought little tears to my eyes as I listened to him play on those many Merle songs he played on for 49 years !! It is amazing to me that he is still on the road. The keyboard player, Mario Carboni, did a great job singing, playing piano and trumpet ! Great show and thanks to SWSGA for all of their hard work.

I apologize if such a thread has already been started but I couldnt find it.

Always loved Norms playing. I was fortunate to attend the St. Louis convention when Barbara Mandrel was inducted into the Hall of Fame. She gave a great acceptance speech which included high praises to Norm , who was also there. Great player.
