Either this one, 2006 MSA Legend through a Quilter TT12 with extension cab and various effects.
Or this, 1968 Sho-Bud Permanent with two Sho-Bud single channel amps.

Very nice! Tone to the bone! Love the vintage Bud!
How do you like the combination of the EH B9 along with the Boss RT-20? I have the RT-20 but was thinking about a C9 for more tonal variety someday. Your thoughts?

Nice setup, Johnny. I'm guessing one is the modern sounding rig and the other one for the vintage tone, just like you wrote in your recent discussion on vintage tone.
A couple of questions:
1) Does having two amps or speakers give you a better sound? Is it much different than using only one amp or speaker? I have never tried using two (I'm just a bedroom player for now so I probably don't need two but I'm curious).
2) Do you have some kind of blue-colored light mounted under your MSA guitar? It looks cool. It gave me an idea to attach a black light under my PSG to illuminate the pedals and knee levers while playing. I will have to get a black light to try this.

Ha: I made a color organ out of some "under-car neon: fluorscent tubes:red/yellow/blue for low/med/high frequencies, and hooked it to the tuner output of my volume pedal. I tied it with string up against the underside of my steel. I thought it was cool, and made a multi-colored light show when I played. I used it on one gig, and removed it after an audience member said "I like your crotch-light".

Glenn, are you saying it changed color depending on how high or low you were playing? That's a really good idea if you're in a full band to help listeners follow what's going on. Most casual listeners can't easily pick out steel unless we're in the front of the mix or playing super slide-y stuff. |

Yep: a color organ. The averaged magnitude of the three lowpass, bandpass and highpass filter outputs drove the R Y B lights respectively. Like I said, it worked perfectly, but the on-stage effect highlighted something other than my playing.

Hi, current guitar amp is by a private builder out of the Saratoga, NY area. Fabulous guitar amp that steel sounds good through as well however, I keep the GFI through the Evans separately so front of house mix can be distinct. The Ultra has been a great guitar so far. Lightweight, solid, plays nice, stays in tune and most importantly sounds great.

I have two rigs for several reasons.
$1 convenience, if one happens to be setup at home I can grab the other and go to a gig.
#2 many of the gigs I do such as the Bobby Flores bsnd requires a 1960s tone.
#3 the guitars are tuned differently. The Sho-Bud is E9th and C6th. The MSA is D13TH.
As to the lights, MSA offers those Aura Lites as well as Lfrets as an option.

I usually use my Telonics Rack Rig for bigger stages, and then if things are a little cramped I have my Telonics TCA500 which does an equally magical job :-}
Both guitars are Zum Hybrids....

Here's my typical rig. Sarno Revelation, Neunaber Immerse reverb and Iconoclast cab sim direct to PA and also to a Greg's Pro Audio cab with a TT-12 speaker and Ganz Straight Ahead amp mounted inside. I often don't bring the speaker. I always use IEMs. The pedal board is for the fiddle.
For a light duty rig: Milkman The Amp direct to PA. IEMs. No speaker.

My usual big stage rig. Little Walter 89 with cabs loaded with PF350’s and pedalboard with various effects. Small stage I’ll substitute a Milkman Half and Half loaded with a Double T12 or a Fender Custom Vibrasonic loaded with Telonics 15-4 speaker

Cool story, Glenn. Only thing left to do would be to mount a spinning disco ball hanging from the underside of the guitar between your legs, that would steal the show for sure. You wouldn't even need to play anything 
Those MSA aura lights look great, thought. Doesn't look like a crotch light at all.

With my 4pc band at my regular BBQ gig. Elf and Boss GT-001 hanging off my seat, driving a 10" hifi speaker (PRV full range with a whizzer cone). It can be as loud as my nv400.
Crazy world. Used to be speaker, steel, seat were heaviest to lightest. For me now its the exact opposite.

Boss DD-3 set up in stereo; dry note to 1 amp, delay ONLY note to small Hartke, or Fender SideKick. Goodrich or Emmons pedal, Matchbox.
No pics, but my other rig...substitute Mullen HWP D-10 & Peavey Classic 30.
