I have attempted everything I know to tune the E-Eb knee lever. The 4th string will not drop to Eb, and the 8th string tunes in. Just bought this Emmons # 456L. A double neck refitted to a single neck, with 4 pedal 4 knee lever. I could use a little help please.

Make sure the split tuning allen screw is backed out enough.

It can help tremendously if you turn the guitar over and simply look at what's happening. Is the raise finger on that string moving when you're actuating the lower?

Yes the fingers move, the cross rod moves, and the bellcranks move. Just can't tune the 4th string from the E - Eb for the drop

What John Swain said. The split tuning screws are the counter sunk hex screws above the nylon tuners
