Key of F. First chord of the verse is Gm, the ii of the key. Sometimes a band mate will call out a tune by its first chord (â€œLetâ€™s do Slow Hand, in G minor!â€), which may or may not be the actual key.

In general, the key of the song is the chord that the song resolves to - like at the end of the chorus or the end of the song. Or the chord that is played when all the tension is resolved.

Along with the keys on my set lists, I've started noting the starting chord if it is different -- saved a lot of hassles.
