Hi Everyone,

Unfortunately I had my Carter (along with some other equipment) stolen out of our tour van yesterday in Edmonton Al.

Just asking my fellow steelers to keep an eye out please.
It's a Carter SD-10
Serial # 00065011-20

Description:
Mica guitar, planked top w/Mahogany Aprons
E-66 pickup

It was originally a D-10 but the back neck was taken off and there is no pad.

Thanks everyone!!!

Nathan..If you have not already done so, may be wise to check with and notify the local music stores and pawn shops plus keep your eye on Craigslist (if it is available in your area).

Bummer man! I’ll keep an ear open in southern Alberta, it’s a pretty unique looking guitar.

I'm really sorry to hear that, that's always bad news.

If you haven't done so and even tho it's not that close to the border, make sure the serial # for that steel is in the US NCIC database:

https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/ncic

https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/threads/129359-Stolen-10-years-ago-on-craigslist-today-what-can-I-do/page6

Also I'll watch the c'list around here

Sorry to hear Nathan. Hope you are able to get it back. Don't forego checking Reberb and eBay. Thieves will post in those places too believe it or not.

I hate to see this. I'll keep my eyes open in this part of the country for ya. If you don't already have it, you just have to bite the bullet and get your stuff insured, especially if you're touring. PM me and I'll let you know what I'm doing. Best of luck.

Hey Nathan, I'm in Edmonton. Where was it stolen? I'll keep an eye out as well. Do you have something I can post on the Edmonton music scene FB page (or you can join and post yourself).

This seems to be a growing issue in Alberta... maybe something to do with the state of the local economy.

The other thing is to get enough social media, blogs etc on the web that yours shows up in the first couple pages of search results for "Stolen Carter pedal steel"

https://www.google.com/search?rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS727US727&q=%22stolen%22+carter+pedal+steel&sa=X

example https://www.tinymixtapes.com/news/sleepercar-ex-spartaat-drive-get-their-gear-stolen-feelings-hurt

Finally, is there anything distinctive about the case? Duct tape, stencils, ugly stickers etc
