I need 20 tuners for an MSA Classic. These are the ones with the little screw hole tab on the side. I did call MSA and they told me they didn't know what kind are on there. That didn't make any sense at all. They were absolutely NO HELP at all. If anyone can help please email me. Have a great and safe Holiday Season and a Merry Christmas. Thanks. |

That's because the MSA you called is not the same company as the MSA you own. That company is long gone.

Those old Classics used Grover Rotomatics which are readily available at most shops that sell guitar parts, or online on Ebay and numerous other sites. _________________ Darvin Willhoite
MSA Millennium, Legend, and Studio Pro, Reese's restored Universal Direction guitar, a restored MSA Classic SS, several amps, new and old, and a Kemper Powerhead that I am really liking. Also a Zum D10, a Mullen RP, and a restored Rose S10, named the "Blue Bird". Also, I have acquired and restored the plexiglass D10 MSA Classic that was built as a demo in the early '70s. I also have a '74 lacquer P/P, with wood necks, and a showroom condition Sho-Bud Super Pro. |

The only difference are that the new screws are metric thread. Well the whole tuner is but it fits fine. Just re-use the original screws and you're good. I've put new locking grovers on a number of late 70's / early 80's MSA's with no problem.
MSA may officially be a different company now but it's basically the same people and shop. Kyle Bennet painted the 1980 U12 in my sig...
