Any recommendations on a replacement nut for my Recording King lap steel? The original nut was chipped so I had a Delrin nut made for the guitar but it was about 1/4†too short. I shimmed the new nut with a piece from the old nut but I’d like to get a good replacement for it.
I did a brief search and mostly came up with angled nuts as opposed to a drop in such as this. Thanks in advance!

If it were mine, since I have all the tools, I would make one myself from either aluminum bar stock or a bone nut blank (available from StewMac and elsewhere).
I realize this could be a long shot, but have you tried to contact the importer? Perhaps they could procure an original for you from the Asian manufacturer. |

Thanks, Jack. Using the contact page on the RK website the US distributor for Recording King, The Music Link, is sending a replacement nut at no charge since the guitar is less than 5 years old. |
