So here’s the story with this guitar. I bought it in 2015 off of eBay to learn how to play. I am now selling it to upgrade to a show pro that my friend is selling.
It was a double neck guitar originally. At some point in its history, it was converted to a single neck guitar with a pad. The neck selector switch was removed (I have it). The seller included a lot of hardware with the guitar from the other neck. I have pictures of all that’s included. It came with the original case (it’s in rough shape but it works).
I honestly don’t know what all has been done or changed on the guitar. I bought it when I literally knew nothing about steel other than that I wanted to learn how to play. I’m still relatively new to steel guitar, so some of you will probably know more about this thing than me! I tried to take a lot of pictures and I’m willing to take more. I bought it and have played it for the past 4 years. It stays in tune and is fun to play. I think it would be a great project guitar or a perfect starter guitar with good tone out of the box. Now that I am starting to play out some, I decided that it was time to upgrade.
It has 4 pedals and 4 levers. Emmons setup with the Franklin change on the 0 pedal. LKL raise LKR lower E’s. RKL raises 1 and 2 and RKL lowers 2 and 9. I am about 5ft 8in so it’s set up at a medium height that works good for me. Might be too low for taller players.
I’m asking 1400 obo shipped. It’ll come with the case and extra hardware.
Thank you!

I am interested in finding out more about this guitar. I fit in the category of a beginner that loves the sound of Steel Guitars and would like to find one that I could "test the waters with" for me.
I just joined the forum and saw this ad.

Question for Ricky. Just what amount of weight would one save by making an S 10 out of this beautiful historic Pro III Custom? Inquiring minds want to know. _________________ Bill Bailey

Bill; I have no experience in how much weight would come off, as I have never done it to weigh what it was at D-10; then what it becomes weight as SD-10.
