Hello, A coworker mentioned owning an older Emmons guitar. It has 6 pedals 1 knee. One pedal is not hooked up. The serial # looks like 1214 in the picture. I have not seen the guitar only pictures. Any info that could be shared would be greatly appreciated. Would it be wise to leave as is or add knees for a modern set up? Year, value where to find parts?

i remember the early catalogs only showed a 6 pedal s10 model with no knee levers. wondered whether it was just for c6. i saw one at the 74 convention played buy a dr who played with speedy west. back then c6 standard setup was 6 pedals and 1 knee.

If I had to guess I would say it looks like an early '72 or 73 model. The pick-up has been changed and I can't tell what that is on the pedal board. Other wise looks original. A-6-1 was pretty common. Should be a real nice guitar!

That looks like a nice unmolested guitar. It’d be a great C-6 machine.
You could make it 3X4 if E-9 is your thing.
Like Doug said, an Emmons pickup will make it sound right.

it's an e9 setup. pedals 234 are abc respectively and the knee lowers low e and d#. 1 and 6 don't look to be hooked up.

Thanks for the responses. Where would a person find parts to go to 3x4 set up?
