Hey everyone, I want to get some insight on how to tune the changes on my guitar before I do some irreparable damage in my ignorance. I’ve looked up videos and how to’s, but I haven’t found anything on how to tune the changes in a guitar like mine.
I understand that to the right and left of the guitar there are pegs that control the changes, but my problem is that if I tighten the right pegs where I can see the levers moving, nothing happens. For example, my 5th string a pedal is a little sharp, and I can’t flatten it. All my peg does is change the pitch of the string when no pedals are down. To the left where the hexagonal pegs are, nothing seems to move so I don’t know if that would even help.
I’ve attached pictures of my guitar showing examples.

I suggest that you post a couple more photos. One that shows the entire guitar, both the front and top side, and another that shows the entire bottom side of the guitar. Certainly, this is not a conventional guitar. Is it keyless? From the look of the changer, it seems to be a pull/release changer. The new photos would clear all this up. |

That should get you started. If it doesn't, you may need help. I'll be in Asheville this week and live about an hour west of there if you can't get it figured out _________________ '81 Sho-bud LDG, 2 EMCI's |

That appears to be a Lone Star pull and release pedal steel. Those were built by Jim Flynn. You might try contacting him here on the forum for the tuning sequence. |

Jerry's correct - it's not a PP.
Those two nylon adjusters will be for strings 4 and 8, the only ones which raise and lower. I added an F lever to a pull-release once but it adjusted underneath - this looks like an improvement. _________________ Make sleeping dogs tell the truth!
