I’ve decided to restore this Emmons an repost at a later time.
Serial number 1018 D
The D in the serial number means she left the Emmons factory around 1966 or 67 a double ten string.
ABC pedals
One knee leaver on the right lowers both Es
This steel plays very well an has the great Emmons tone
Very solid Emmons no cracks in cabinet or around changer.
I made a new pad, an new control plate thinking about adding three knees if I add more knees the price will increase.

I was at Johnie's last week. He has several very nice Pedal steel guitars. This one is amazing and has tone to the MOON. The pickup is a rare one the thick white center on the top bobbin tells the tell.
He has some original D10's some Original SD10'S and a few converted SD10's and every guitar he has is straight up top notch. And he knows how to pack them for shipping. |

$2750 plus shipping price is firm.

Today’s prices on good push pulls are a bargain check out in picture yesteryear’s prices!!

I highly doubt that any pedal steel sold for $4K in those days. _________________ I need an Emmons! |

About $800 in the mid 60’s got a D-10 guitar.
Gas was around 19 cents a gal also. I bought a new VW in 1964 and it was $1500. _________________ Henry Matthews

No Paul I don’t have the back neck parts the owner of this bolt on steel converted it 20 years ago. When I covert a steel I don’t do any striping I use a screw driver.
I’m making four Emmons knees for this bolt on,
Adding New pad
Making wood plug for changer hole to fit perfectly.
Buffing all aluminum parts including neck an key head an changer
Added new metal original Emmons chrome fret board
Milled a new aluminum control plate like on a sd10. Will set her up Too maximum
Playability! |

I wish people would quit making S-10’s out of these beautiful D-10 Emmons vintage guitars. _________________ Henry Matthews
