Howdy!

I'm fairly new to PSG and I'm having an issue with the B pedal in relation to my 3rd string. It takes far too much motion to raise it up a half step, getting in the way of my A pedal so I cannot play in tune.
I'm sure the solution is quite simple but I don't trust myself getting underneath the steel (just yet) to make the adjustment.

Are there any good pedal steel technicians y'all would recommend in the Austin, TX area that could help me with a setup as well as offering up a few pointers on general maintenance?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Jeremy - This is a great opportunity to glean both mechanical and musical knowledge from someone who has been in the business a long time.

Jeremy, I'm just outside Austin and have 30 years experience working on all makes of pedal steel guitars. I'd be happy to help you out. Sounds like a quick and simple solution is at hand.

Does anyone know if Forum member, C E Holden is still doing pedal steel service in the Austin area? As I recall, he apprenticed under pedal steel guru, the late Bobby Bowman.

Keep on pickin'!

Holden is pretty busy with other things these days. He will get back to working on steels when a couple things settle.
