| Hello everybody. Can someone please help me with some settings on this amp for pedal steel and also for telecaster? Which channels i shoulf use for best preformance? Much appreciated. Thanks |

I’ve had two of these excellent amps. I used the “normal†channel for steel and the other for my “Stratâ€. I used a boss DD2 for steel, and about 3 on reverb for Strat. Pickups and steel sound different so I would start with your volume setting and then sweeten it to “YOUR “ ear.

Hello Fritz,
I Play through a 65 Twin Reissue. They are great amps. Others will argue that the reissue twins are lacking in tone and quality compared to an original twin, but it's a matter of preference. To me, my reissue sounds more spunky compared to the originals I've played through. It took a few months for the stock Jensen Speakers to loosen up, but once they did, they sound good enough for me. I get complements on my tone all the time.
I play through the vibrato channel and Generally Speaking, my setting are the following. Always remember a twin's volume must be turned up at least halfway to have any bass response. For home practice, I use a Boss GE-7 to reduce my volume going into the amp without harming the tone.
Bright Switch: On
Volume: 5
Treble: 3
Middle: 1/off
Bass:5-6
Reverb: 3
Speed and Intensity Off.
Enjoy they amp, generally speaking they are a reliable workhorse.

When I had mine I set like this:
Volume 4
Bright switch off
Treble 3.5
Mids 8
Bass 5
Reverb 4 or to taste
On a tube amp Mids are your friend. Too many times people set them like a Peavey where you to qoute Buddy Emmons: Take a hammer and knock the mid knob off. The higher mids really fatten up your tone. |
