Just got my pick up back from TomBrantleyRewinds.com yesterday. Wired and Tuned up my 2nd Neck and figured I'd clean her up for some glamour shots in the sunlight.
From my research/guesses - I think it's a '49-'50 era.
Legs and front Fender decal were added at some later point and this Brown finish doesn't seem to be original but interested if anyone knows more about that.
Aside from a few bent tuning keys which aren't posing too much of a problem- She's up and working for under $800.
Just wanted to thank the board for all the info and help and Tom Brantley for the quick service and great communication.

Yes, that's an old one with the Roman numeral markers and oblong "Boxcar" pickups.
Also the only Fender steel to have the model name on it as far as I know. |

I play a lot in the later hours with no amp and don't mind at all, this thing really sings.
Just put an E13 on the second neck and it's sounding good.
Played it through my '65 showman with a single 15 and it was amazing. |

It looks nice. That Dual Professional tag looks to be taken from a Dual Professional amp and was probably added by the owner. The finish is not original but it looks good like that.....Enjoy it. |
