I own a Franklin, and several other of the recognizable name brand guitars, i.e. Emmons, Sho-bud, Zum, Mullen, etc. and while they are all great guitars, there is definitely something special about the Franklin. This is actually my second Franklin and both guitars had the "it" factor. Just more sustain, more note separation, etc. My dad actually equated playing my Franklin to playing a fine grand piano. Yes, their prices are inflated because of good ol supply and demand, but I can say without a doubt that there is something special about the Franklin guitars that I have played and owned. I just wanted to put another voice into this conversation from the perspective of a Franklin owner and player.

Yeah I don't think we are helping lamar sell this beauty though... Its fairly priced from what i have seen these guitars go for, and to be honest, personally its the ONLY franklin S10 I have ever seen..Paul and perhaps a few others would know better, but I don't think there are very many single neck franklin steels out there... bob

I would like to ad that Franklins are indeed unique and well worth the money. They have a voice and response to technique that I have never experienced in any other steel.

Dave Hartley on YouTube sure makes a black one like this sound grate.
Franklin steel definitely have some magic mojo plus they can lower a string so low it touches the fret board how many name brand steels can accomplish this with out modifications too the changer finger?
