The spanner wrench for 8 bucks works well for removing knobs on guitars and amps. Other uses also like tightening tuner nuts and jacks. _________________ I survived the sixties! |

Here is what I have done...I use a cloth. Wrap the cloth around the knob and pull it evenly. It works well.

Ordered the knob and bushing puller from Amazon. A lot cheaper than the StewMac one but appears to be exactly the same. |

Wrapping a cloth around the knob is pretty cool as demonstrated in the video.

hopefully there is no set screw in it!!??
i use two spoons under knobs. that way it has equal pull on both sides of it. takes 4 seconds. if you worry about marring the finish, place a cloth underneath.
