Probably many of you have seen this? Always been a favorite of mine. I like the new version even better than the original by "THE BAND" Lots of good musicians with a variety of instruments.

Thanks for posting this, Bill. I hadn’t seen this one, but the other Playing for Change videos have been amazing. This was a great version of one of my favorite Band songs. Kind of gives me hope for the world, too. _________________ Peter

Donny posted it last month as Song from "Easy Rider". Definitely worth the repost and a re-listen for me. |

Was it in “Easy Rider Been a long time since I’ve seen that one so no memory, but it will always stand as a true classic for the way it taught a generation of young people that cocaine dealers are heroes. |

Char from Tokyo did some really nice fills and the oud and sitar are more versatile than I would have thought. It really complemented the music. |

As a sitar player, I have always told people who are interested in using it in a fusion way, "I can play in any key you want...as long as it's C#!" _________________ Waikīkī, at night when the shadows are falling

Very cool take on an old song… Not sure how they managed to organize this, but it’s very good. _________________ Inlaid Star Guitar 2006 by Mark Giles. SD-10 4+5 in E9th; http://luthiersupply.com/instrument-gallery.html
