I've been hammered by a really nasty cold since Thursday afternoon. Hacking and coughing. Low grade fever. Sinus and chest congestion. It is now Sunday, early evening, and I'm feeling a lot better, but not 100% yet.

I tried sitting down and practicing my pedal steel guitar and it was just awful. Very little focus and my hands and fingers acted like they had never even seen a pedal steel guitar before.

I am so glad we didn't have anything scheduled this weekend.

Have you ever had to go on stage when you were sick?

Lee, from South Texas

Yes I have.
Kind of the same feeling. Chest aching, coughing, eyes were burning, slight headache and my arm and leg joints were aching. When I got home that night, I was running a 103* fever. I wound up being laid up for a week with the flu. Actually, it took me a couple of weeks to completely recover. I'll never do that again!

John make sure it's not Lyme disease, it mimics a lot of flu symptoms. I had it 30 years ago.

I'm sure you are fine now but being where you are and anywhere in the Northeast it's always something to look at. Easy to cure early on but quite the female dog if goes undiagnosed.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

Lee, Hope you are doing well in South Texas, I was in West Texas last week and had a ball, love that state!

There is only one thing worse than dripping snot in the middle of a solo on stage in front of 300 people. What, you might ask. Getting stung by a bee during the middle of a solo on stage in front of 300 people. Been there n done both.
