Never experienced this problem before:
When I press B pedal down and lower the 4th(E) string,it goes only half way down, but, when I lower the 4th string first and then press the B pedal there is no problem.Have been going through the changer end and cant find anything that cause this problem.Thank you in advance. |

Sure sounds mechanical- as if something in the B pedal linkage is binding on the 4th string lower linkage. Is there a compensator on either? |

No sir,no compensator.I have tried to lubricate the gates and I also changed a spring on the 4th string, and it's a bit better, but still there.I will contenue discover if I find any issues. |

I would suggest that you check the pull train under the guitar. Make sure the 3rd string pull rod is pulling straight on the changer. If it Pulls the 3rd string changer finger over into the path of the 4th string finger, It may be binding the 4th string finger till it cannot travel correct to the D note lower on D knee lever.
Last thing would be, You could have a broken changer shaft that could be preventing the 4th finger from moving once the 3rd finger has been raised by the B Pedal.
Good Luck finding the problem, quick cure and back to Happy Steelin. |
